As the Vox atypi classification, cleverly devised by Maximilien Vox in 1954, can often seem confusing at first sight, we decided to create an innovative tool that enables everyone to learn the differences of the type families in a playful manner.
Each puzzle board covers a type family with 6 major typographies of that specific family. The player has to find the right place for each A and furthermore can put them on top of each other to understand the often slight changes in between one font to the other. Step by step the user starts to understand why which typography is part of a specific family as he’s experiencing it while playing with real 3D letters.
